Areas from steeper hillsides on the slopes that separate the Loire and Vienne tend to produce wines with higher tannins, showing a more severe terroir, and a variety of alkaloid flavors that give wines their minerality Flavour, complexity and intense flavour.

These wines are usually sweet, light to medium-bodied, and pair well with food. Although generally considered to be lighter wines, red wines from vintage and strong vintages can be full-bodied, well-structured, and can be aged for 10 years or more. Baijiu expresses dryness, softness, lightness and freshness mainly composed of Chenin blanc.

 

Robe: The wine is light purple. Vibrant red cherries with purple shimmers. Has a tinge of amber and a hint of purple as it ages.


Nose: Very silky and rich in tannins. cooked red or black fruits and spices


Taste: Strong and rich (from grapes that ripen in full sun)

Full of blackcurrant and fennel and soft on the palate. These wines also tend to develop velvety spice flavors as they age. 12 months in oak barrels (5-10 years recommended)


Drinking temperature: 16-18 ℃

Recommended with red meat dishes such as steaks, roasts and game dishes with sauces, or the famous local goat cheese.
